Technology of ICEGRID

We place it on any kind of flat and compacted surface (typically as the basis for a multifunctional playground).

This technology will maintain the ice quality up to an outdoor temperature of + 15 ° C (in direct sunlight).

To cool the ice surface, we use an indirect refrigeration system with ecological refrigerant  R 407 Cin the primary circuit and the organic low-glycol heat transfer medium  Pekasol in the secondary circuit.

Detailed assembly procedure

We put the plastic mouldings in the form of a grid about 40×35 cm and about 5 cm thick on the prepared surface. Thanks to the locks create a solid, flexible grid across the rink.

Inside the grille are pressed grooves into which we put ribbed PE hoses (the goose neck) into the “U” shape. Ribbed hoses have a larger heat transfer surface and reduce cooling costs. The grid system at the same time prevents so-called “rolling” of the tubes or their displacement into the side. Each pipe also has its own shut-off valve, which is practical for any repairs even during rink operation.

On one side of the field, the inlet and outlet collecting collectors are created and on the other hand, the hoses are rotated back.

We cover the surface with a pipe by a quartz sand on which we lay synthetic turf or we begin to create ice here.
